Privacy Policy

LumaV is local-first, with optional account, sync, support, referral, scenario sharing, Plaid aggregation, advisor sharing, and website dashboard features that may use LumaVault AI services or third-party providers when enabled.

1. Overview

LumaV is a personal finance and financial independence planning app. The app helps users track assets, holdings, bank and credit card balances, ledger entries, FIRE projections, scenario planning, watchlists, referrals, and support requests.

2. Information You Provide

You may provide basic registration information such as name, email address, phone number, month and year of birth, preferred currency, and tax or country settings. You may also enter financial planning information such as transactions, balances, holdings, real estate details, debt information, watchlists, scenario assumptions, and notes. Household supervision entries for a child or dependent should be created only by an authorized parent, guardian, custodian, or person with permission to manage those numbers.

3. Financial Data

LumaV uses the financial data you enter to calculate net assets, FIRE number, FIRE gap, readiness metrics, savings rate, debt-to-income ratio, projections, and scenario planning results. LumaV does not provide investment, tax, legal, or retirement advice.

4. Local-First Storage and Optional Cloud Features

Core app data can be stored on your device. If you enable optional cloud account, sync, scenario sharing, support, referral, advisor, Plaid, or dashboard features, the data needed to operate those features may be transmitted to LumaVault AI-controlled backend services hosted on Cloudflare and authenticated through Firebase or related identity providers.

Preview and beta features may be disabled, hidden, or limited until production readiness is complete.

5. Account and Authentication

If you create or sign in to a cloud account, LumaV may process account identifiers, email address, authentication tokens, login metadata, and device pairing information. Firebase or other authentication providers may process authentication data under their own terms and policies.

6. Face ID, Voice, and Device Security

If you enable Face ID or device biometric login, LumaV uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework. LumaV does not receive or store your face data or biometric templates.

If you use voice features, LumaV requests microphone and speech recognition permissions only for user-initiated assistant actions. Speech-related processing depends on the platform services available on your device.

7. Market Data, Exchange Rates, and News

LumaV may request market prices, exchange rates, ticker details, and financial news from third-party providers. These requests may include ticker symbols, currency pairs, asset categories, or location-based real estate search terms. Third-party providers process those requests under their own privacy policies.

8. Plaid and Bank Aggregation

If you connect a financial institution through Plaid in a supported production build, Plaid and LumaV may process institution, account, balance, transaction, cursor, item, webhook, and connection metadata needed to create a local mirror and refresh account data. Sandbox and development builds remain clearly labeled; do not enter real bank credentials into sandbox-only flows.

9. Scenario Sharing and Advisor Sharing

If you share a scenario, LumaV may create a share token or link containing the scenario inputs, assumptions, and calculated results needed for another logged-in user to view or copy that scenario. Shared scenarios should not expose unrelated private account data, full financial profiles, email addresses, authentication identifiers, or raw account records.

If you use advisor or expert-review preview features, LumaV may store redacted planning summaries, connect codes, notes, milestones, permissions, and selected projection snapshots needed to operate the sharing flow.

10. Referrals, Support, and Website Dashboard

If you use Refer a Friend, coupon codes, promotions, or marketing offers, LumaV may store referral/coupon activity and status. If you contact support, report a bug, or submit a feature request, LumaV may store your email address, category, subject, message, and related support metadata so we can respond.

If you use the website dashboard, LumaV may store browser-local dashboard data and may request cloud account, sync, scenario, export, delete, or dashboard snapshot records from LumaV backend services after authentication.

11. Payments and Subscriptions

If subscriptions are enabled, Apple, Google, Stripe, or the applicable store/payment provider processes payment information. LumaV may process product identifiers, entitlement tier, purchase status, renewal status, coupon metadata, and support metadata needed to unlock Launch, Grow, or Wealth functionality and respond to account questions.

13. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal financial information. We may share limited data with service providers only as needed to operate LumaV, authenticate accounts, provide optional sync, deliver support, process referrals, provide market data, connect Plaid accounts, operate store subscriptions, or comply with legal obligations.

14. Data Retention and Deletion

Data is retained as long as needed to provide the app, maintain records, resolve support issues, comply with law, or support legitimate business purposes. LumaV iOS users can initiate account deletion in the app from Settings, Account, Delete LumaV Account. This deletes the local account profile and on-device LumaV data from that device.

If you used optional sync, support, referrals, scenario sharing, Plaid, advisor sharing, payments, or the web dashboard, you may also request deletion of LumaV-controlled cloud records by contacting [email protected]. Some records may also need to be deleted or managed through Apple, Google, Firebase, Plaid, your email provider, or other third-party services. 15. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No software or network service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, credentials, and App Store account.

16. Children

LumaV is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Any child/dependent supervision feature is intended for authorized parent, guardian, or custodian use and should not be used by a child to create an account directly.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as LumaV changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
